Bear Creek Mountain Resort and Conference
Center is a first class multi-faceted outdoor destination
located on more than 330 acres in scenic Berks County.
During my tenure at nGravis we were engaged as an active
partner to redevelop Bear Creek's online brand
and align it with its traditional identity.
Additionally
Bear Creek wished to streamline a majority of their
website's functionality by incorporating
a transparent and fully-functional content management
system. Because of the robust .NET framework with custom
interfacing within Flash, nGravis created a home-grown
application to address Bear Creek's needs.
The site
features real-time weather reporting from the slopes,
multiple webcams, slope conditions, 360 degree IPIX
movies, an administrative photo gallery as well as
a customizable terrain park utility. This utility allows
an admin at Bear Creek the ability to customize (3)
terrain park obstacles according to the actual layout
of the courses.
Because of the multi-seasoned aspects
of Bear Creek's
service offerings, we even created a redundant site
utilizing key content areas within a winter and summer
version of the website. A Bear Creek admin is able
to effortlessly change the CSS stylesheets, all header
tags and key graphics with a "flick of the switch."
Lastly we provided email marketing capabilities
from directly within their customized CMS solution
for nearly 60,000 of Bear Creek's loyal subscribers.
